Ways to Get Involved

Come to our dances!

Our Chapter is only as good as its member support. The important thing is to attend as many functions as you can and let your board members know if these functions meet your expectations.

Volunteer

Volunteer to help during functions: this could be welcoming arrivals at the door as a greeter, setting up refreshments, helping with publicity, planning events, newsletter, set-up and clean-up after our dances. First and foremost, though, GET ON THE DANCE FLOOR at every opportunity!  Introduce your friends and acquaintances to ballroom dancing. Invite them to chapter activities and encourage them to become members of USA Dance Chapter #3007.

Become a Member

Whether you dance purely for social enjoyment, compete on a high level, or somewhere in between…USA Dance has a membership tailored for you. (Find the complete list here.) Many chapters (including ours) offer members discounts on dance admissions or other perks. Join or renew today (you’ll be redirected to USA Dance National’s website), or take care of it in person at one of our monthly dances.

Special Needs Dance Program

This program is open to individuals aged 18 and older with intellectual or developmental disabilities. We provide a fun, energetic learning atmosphere under the guidance of a Yes, You Can Dance (TM)-certified instructor. A team of volunteer mentors/partners help to engage and guide students through a variety of ballroom dances. Dance experience is not required for either students or mentors.

We are looking for volunteers to help with this program.  If you are interested in being a student or a mentor/volunteer, please email USADanceSpecialNeedsOutreach@gmail.com or call (412) 720-0610.
