Dancing is for everyone! Our Special Needs Ballroom Dance Adaptive Program (SNAP) is open to individuals aged 18 and older with intellectual or developmental disabilities. We provide a fun, energetic learning atmosphere under the guidance of a Yes, You Can DanceTM certified instructor. Volunteer mentors/partners help to engage and guide students through a variety of ballroom dances to help improve motor skills, confidence, and socialization. Dance experience is not required for either students or the volunteer mentors.
Three six-week sessions are offered throughout the year (fall, winter, and spring). Each one-hour class starts at 1:30 pm at Higher Voice Studios in Carnegie (144 East Main Street 15106). Free parking is available on-street and in the nearby municipal parking lot.
